5.) Business Funding for Referral Agents (Bridge Course)
About Course
Course Overview
You’ve spent the CRE Foundations curriculum learning how Netrix places commercial real estate financing. This bridge course introduces a different but related world: business funding. The two product lines often serve the same borrowers, a CRE investor frequently also runs an operating business; a business owner often owns real estate. Recognizing when a deal in front of you has business funding potential (and knowing how to handle it) makes you more valuable to your borrowers and to Netrix.
This course is not meant to turn you into a business funding expert. That’s what the full Business Funding Foundations curriculum does and completing it is how you earn the Master credential. This bridge course gives you the basics: what business funding is, how it differs from CRE financing, when to spot business funding opportunities, and what to do when you find one.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Define business funding and distinguish it from commercial real estate financing
- Recognize the main product categories Netrix places in business funding
- Identify the most common signals that a borrower has a business funding need
- Handle a business funding inquiry appropriately at the Foundations credential level
- Understand the path from Foundations to Master if you want to add business funding to your practice
